Norwood CC organises formal tournaments throughout the year as well as fun
events and one of the highlights as well as being the Club Championship is
participation in the SACA Grade and Pennant Matches against other clubs.

Norwood Chess Club was formed in 1890 and apart from two missed years during
WW1 has been providing a wonderful continuous chess experience for its
    members.

Two unusual features about the club - 1st we have been located in the same
heritage listed building since 1880 and during the 117 years of its
existence the club has only had 4 Presidents.
